I canceled a June 5th week with II. Of course I didn't get a replacement week. I got a crappy week that has to be used by Dec 2020 and was reverted to a studio even though I paid good money to upgrade. I think I have mentioned IT BEFORE BUT--- I HATE, HATE, HATE INTERVAL!!!!

I take it you are not enrolled and do not buy Eplus?

It’s tentatively scheduled To only open up to 2000 visitors starting 7/1. Assuming the Surf Club is closed currently, will they even open up for a few guests in July?

I am enrolled on my developer weeks. The contract I use most oven is my non-developer properties. Yes I always buy E-Plus but all my cancelled weeks were within 60 days so I only get the dregs at 3 months and only until the end of December. So yes I still HATE, HATE, HATE INTERVAL!

Aha, I see then. Yep, the resale non enrolled weeks definitely have more issues as you have noted. Not good all around.

Icydog, so you're saying there ARE downsides to buying resale weeks that are NOT enrolled? I guess to use the cliche "you can't have your cake and eat it too"!
There are no "winners" here during this difficult time. I can't wait until we are ALL trying to book weeks with unused enrolled weeks through MVC and with deposited weeks and certificates in Interval. May the luckiest owner win!

You should have received a No Fee Accommodations Certificate that would be valid until December 2021.

Your AC should also have been for the size of the unit you exchanged in to, not the size of the unit of your underlying week. I suggest reaching out the II TUG Members mailbox.

I love Interval. I've never, ever had an issue with them, and I get amazing trades. You just need to understand the rules and take advantage of them
Same here...never had any issue getting great exchanges and getaways through interval for the last 13 years...have successfully exchanged into Aruba 5 times and using DC points 2 times....Having a good trader, patience and flexibility is the key

The problem with II this time around (and I love them too) is people booked into Aruba with their weeks. If you are enrolled, but own in Aruba, you would book your week-not DC points. Options were limited-but better than nothing. II would take your week and then you are in the exchange world. Difficult to get back to Aruba. We canceled our week 61+ days out so our II deposit has normal flexibility, but those inside 60 days are more limited. There was even a period March into mid April IIRC that II wasn't accepting Aruba deposits for time frames the airport was closed. Owners had very little ability to move those weeks. I can understand frustration. Its not like using II under normal circumstances. But, its not a normal year and I think we will end up a bit bruised. Just have to look to 2021.

Until recently I did most of my trading in my private II account. I've been happy with II but I understand the situation and make sure I'm always trading up but not too much. I deposit 13-14 months ahead and place realistic requests that are a win-win. But I also throw in a few what if over the top exchange requests as well at times, sometimes I've hit there too. Years ago they canceled a confirmed request (long story) as their mistake but they did what they could to correct the situation. What I don't enjoy are the fees. I do think eplus for non corporate is a good idea.

I had some exchanges booked with enrolled weeks and have just been doing retrades mostly in 59 day window just to keep pushing them out until I find something I can/want to use. Figured could do the same via eplus but never done eplus. There’s been lots of good Myrtle beach and Hilton head weeks on interval recently. Myrtle is probably too crowded for me but HHI would be tolerable.

Eplus can only be retraded 3 times, fyi.

Not sure why you would use ePlus on enrolled Marriott weeks unless you were looking to trade outside of the Marriott set of resorts.

Is Aruba requiring guests to quarantine at all when they arrive?

Aruba hasn't officially announced it's travel opening date or any special requirements needed. June 15-July 1 is - so far, just the tentative timeframe being looked at for opening.
