2bdrm gold at AOC will get you 3075 points. I have no idea what they sold for. Since a 2bdrm Gold costs over 4000 points to reserve you can see why some of the Aruba folks are, how do I put this politely....... somewhat displeased, with the point allocations at the Aruba resorts.

If you are referring to MOC they don't have a Gold season.

Jim- Nice way of putting it . Curiously, Marriott rents the room for $4723 for an August week, and the SC next door only has GV rooms left- so people are booking. Curiously, even the better views at the top HH resorts rent on Marriott for less money during the same early August period, even though it's Plat. season there, yet even though Marriott rents Aruba Gold weeks for more than HH Plat. weeks, Platinum Aruba weeks get considerably less points that Plat. HH weeks.

On the flip side, while the point allocation stinks for the Aruba owner relative to rental rates, the point cost represents a real relative bargain. And OS and OV cost the same number of points, even though the OS units were sold for a 4-5K premium and cost more to rent- again, bad for the owners, but good for those using DC points.

So- if you are considering going to Aruba- using DC points is a good deal, and it pays to rent some points from others rather than booking even with the Premiere or Premiere Plus discount codes.

Found an old thread which listed an Aruba Surf Club 2br Gold OF as having a point allotment of 3975. I'd assume the Ocean Club allotment would be the same or in the 3975 ballpark.

We own a 1 bedroom and a 2 bedroom, in the gold season, and the points are 2050 and 3075 respectively.

Both weeks are Ocean View.
