“The Dutch Caribbean’s most-visited travel destination is getting more new flights from New York.

Aruba will soon be the beneficiary of year-round nonstop flights from New York’s LaGuardia Airport, according to an announcement from American Airlines.

The New York-Aruba flights, which had previously been operating only seasonally, will become year-round flights beginning Dec. 21.

The flights will now be operating once every week on Saturdays....”

As far as I know the 737-800 is not the same as the 737 Max

Hmm direct to Aruba might make me rethink owning MVC

There are already plenty of direct to Aruba flights from the NYC area. They are just expensive.

I love Aruba. The problem is that I'm a gold status medallion miles on Delta, and Delta has no direct flights from Washington DC. I have to fly through JFK or ATL. Such a hassle to get to my second favorite Caribbean destination (but my favorite, Cancun, has the same problem.) I always get upgraded to first class on Delta with checked luggage included.
