 I'm spoiled, which is why I got into time-sharing, specifically at Marriott's, Hilton's, and Weston's.

We'll be at the Marriott Waiohai on Kauai the 3rd week of December after a week at the Marriott Ko'Olina. Glad I didn't book a week at Kauai Lagoons, the DW and I would have greatly missed :bawl: the full kitchen and the W/D. But, it does have a dishwasher, which you probably need with the small sink. I think I read somewhere that they don't have barbeques either. :bawl:
The Kauai Lagoons are luxurious and fully appointed condos and have everything. They were built for year-round owners so have plenty of closet space too. Some are locked but you don't need them.

They also have very large lanais and you can open the living room doors completely and the whole space (living room and lanai) become one big space together. Very nice. The grounds are beautiful too and the pool but it is much smaller than at the KBC. I only used it once after dark.

The resort is built higher up and has the golf course running in front of it and next to it plus it has a large man-made lagoon that the other side of the buildings look out on. There is a beach below but the front desk asked us not to go down there so we didn't. They gave us the name of a public beach very close by. There is a shuttle service to the KBC and you can use the beach there but not the pool because you get a wrist band to wear. I met some people once on the beach here who were coming off the cruise ship and sat in the shade. The cruise ship told them about it as it is a public beach.

I have a few pictures of inside and will put them in that album too but there may be better ones posted on TUG already. You may want to go and have a look and decide for next time but the Waiohai is also nice in the Poipu area. We stayed there the last time we were in Kauai. We really liked the KBC so will go back there again but we were so close to the ocean and had a nice view. :)

PS. There is plenty of parking too and right in front of your condo so very convenient too. We used Valet parking at the KBC because my husband has a disabled parking sticker. The parking lot at the hotel was quite full and a walk if we had to park far away plus so hot so we made it easy on ourselves.

PPS. Our salesman told us that Marriott had done all the grading there already and the master plan so the condos shouldn't lose their views if the plans are going to stay the same so that is good to know. I am sure that is part of the deal with the sales transaction. It will be nice once it is all completed.

Agree totally with iconnections. Stayed in a 3br/3b with friends last month at Lagoons. The villas are fantastic with high end appliances, fantastic views, and easy access to KBC. Do not confuse the Lagoons with the KBC as they are night and day in terms of villas (sent our daughter and new son-in-law to KBC for their honeymoon which they loved but issues with the kitchens, etc.). Kalapaki Beach in front of KBC is a nice tranquil spot to enjoy the ocean and easy access from Lagoons - shuttle or just drive yourself and park in the public access spots. The small beach below Lagoons was too rough when we stayed for comfortable swimming but saw locals enjoying the high surf. Pool looks wonderful at KBC and we took our daughter's wristbands but unfortunately color was not the same. But thoroughly enjoyed the Lagoons pool so not an issue. Thinking when we return to Kauai will probably just get a studio or 1 BR at KBC when on our own but Lagoons when travelling with friends. Poipu looked nice but we loved the location of Lagoons/KBC - so central to the island.
