This morning I received an email from MVC, with the subject "Are You Ready For Your Vacation?"

The text reads:
"GET READY FOR YOUR GETAWAY

We're preparing for your arrival. Are there any changes to your vacation plans? There's still time to modify your reservation. Give us a call today.

Contact us at 866-720-0010 to discuss your vacation details."
Here's the thing: I don't have another MVC or Vistana reservation until October. Well, I also have one in August, but that is an II reservation and so this email wouldn't be about that.

This seems like an email they would send a couple weeks or maybe a month, at most, before arrival, not several months in advance. Did anyone else get it? I am assuming it was just another IT mistake by MVC.

I did log onto my MVC and Vistana accounts and confirm there are no earlier reservations on either.

Opps. Double post

It seems to me that different resorts send these at different times, if at all. Generally speaking the furthest out is 3 to 4 weeks, but I own a resort in a different system that sends something like this out 5 or 6 months in advance. Perhaps this MVC location has employed someone from a system that sends out a notice that far in advance?

What I find odd is that it doesn’t list a resort. That’s the only things that makes me suspicious.

a few days ago I received the same email…no resort listed…I thought it was strange.

I a welcome email from Ko Olina for a reservations just made for late June of 2026.

“We're preparing for your arrival…” almost 120 days in advance of my next booking… I guarantee you that nobody is yet preparing for our arrival, lol.

In addition to containing no clue what property or reservation the email was referring to, it also seemed to be meant to encourage me to change a reservation. That is kind of the only “ask” in the email. So I’m trying to figure out why MVC would want to email owners and encourage them to change their bookings.
