Here is what I am looking to do - tell me if I should buy a resale timeshare/points or if I should just stick to hotels.
I am a pilot with my own plane so I can leave almost any time I want and go pretty much anywhere I want within about 400 miles of Phoenix.
I would like to book trips with less than 45 days notice and sometimes I like to pick a place nearby and see if there is a good deal to do a quick staycation.
It is just me and the misses, so no need for a huge place, but we really like amazing rooms with great views.
We both work really hard, and a "week" is almost impossible for us. We really want to take lots of 2-3 day vacations.
We spend lots of time in So Cal on the beach, but want to go all over the place - but because I can fly myself do not really need to plan in advance, thus if a great deal opened up in vegas, we could just go to vegas.
Any other question I should be answering? My real question is, does this make sense for us or should we be sticking to hotels?
