Are there daily resort fees when using HGVC points for RCI in addition to the $299 fee?

I started the booking process, but all it shows are some taxes and the $299 fee for the Wyndham next to the HHV. I did not want to get surprise charges.

There can be. Always read the fee section for each property
Well dangit, while I was typing this post, it timed out. I went back to book it again and now it says not available. :/

Club Wyndham Waikiki Marina Resort at the Ilikai

"Housekeeping fee for all RCI reservations: There may be a fee of 111.00 U.S. dollars for all units, per stay. Only Credit Cards accepted." The mandatory fee will be charged for less than 7-night stays.
Resort Fees

Policy Restrictions
Minimum age check-in: Minimum age check-in is 21.Valet parking only
General Urgent Information
This resort does not accept cash, therefore a credit card is necessary for all purchases. Prior to travel, RCI recommends contacting your host resort as well as local, state and federal websites for advisories that may impact your travel or vacation experience. Guest certificate required for multiple reservations. Smoking is not allowed in units. Security deposit required upon check-in at the resort. Fees or deposits are charged for some amenities.
Other Urgent Information
Studio ADA unit can accommodate a maximum of 2 people with one king bed. There is no sofa bed due to the required turn radius needed in the room. The swimming pools are managed by the complex's association. This is a cashless resort. A credit or debit card is required for on-site purchases.

The 'may' and 'will' wording regarding housekeeping fees is confusing. So if you're staying 7 nights or more the $111 fee is not charged but for lesser number of nights it is charged?

Otherwise, $64.71/day extra charges beyond the exchange fee?

Pretty much all Hawaii timeshare properties charge transient occupancy tax, or TOT. It looks like that is about $20/night at this property.

And it looks like that is based on a studio unit size, implies that it is more for larger unit.

I suppose you pay the TOT as an owner too?

So it will be the $299 and $20 a night?
Where is $299 coming from? The exchange fee? If so, ignore that. You have to pay that to RCI. Resort fees are separate and it does look like there could be an additional $111 fee, per stay.

There is no $111 fee, it says waived since staying the minimum 7 nights.

We have rooms at my timeshare, but my father in law belatedly decided to come, so having to use RCI points to get him a room at a hotel that is right next to HHV.
