Are my Hardwood Floors Sealed?

Okay, I feel a little silly asking about this but here goes. We bought our first house and I have no idea which products I should be using to clean my hardwood floors. I don't know how to tell if they are 'sealed' or 'treated' or 'waxed' or what. The house is about 100 years old and I don't know if they are original or not. I would guess not, as they just seemed too perfect when we bought.

They were nice and shiny. After a few months they have dulled a bit with foot traffic. I'd like to make them shiny (and clean) again.

Any ideas on how to figure this out?

Sprinkle water on them. If it beads and doesn't soak in there is some form of protectorant on them.

I use nothing more than white vinegar/water solution to clean mine. Works well, even with a dog that tracks in mud every spring!

I bought a mop that has a terrycloth (sort of) cover over a rectangular pad - bigger than a sponge mop. I use it along with some squirt cleaner designed for hardwood floors that I get at the grocery store. It does not make the floor shiny, but does do a good job at cleaning all the footprints etc.

Same here, I think what I use is called Orange-Glo for Hardwood Floors, it doesnt make it really shiny - but does give a little gloss to it. Works great.
