I have been trying to sell or give away my timeshare in Hilton Head, my Canadian friends are not interested. Are others finding the same response

Timeshares, in general, are a hard sell. Especially one that has $0 resale value. You are more likely to find someone willing to take it if you offer it up for free. It doesn't have to be sold to another Canadian.

Canadian here. I just closed on a resale Hawaii TS in August, but I sense I’m probably in a minority.

Over the past ten years the economy in Canada has severely underperformed the US. Add in a severe currency depreciation and it’s not surprising that more Canadians are choosing to forgo vacations, particularly in the US now.

Can't blame the Canadians- on multiple levels. We hope for a more favorable vacation (and financial) environment.

Ya it’s strange, my timeshare incl golf and I had a lineup of friends looking to go down for the week, but now no one seems interested. That why I’m looking to sell or give away.

Have you posted this yet in the TUG free Timeshare Giveaway Forum ? Won't cost you a nickel and you may unload it quickly.

Remember, you have a lot of competition with FREE timeshares so you may want to provide an incentive such as paying the first year's maintenance fees, etc.

Best of luck!
