My family and I are planning on spending xmas 2009 in the carribean --- somewhere that would fill the requirements. Seeking help from my tugger friends.

I will be traveling with my wife a 17, 15 and 7 year old boys who need to be constantly active. can you recommend a resort in the carribean area that is resort feeling (not condo feel) with teen/kid activities and relaxing for the adults and feels first rate!!!!! Prefer a place that would have social gathering such as day pool parties, nightly fires on the beach etc etc....

apprecaite all feedback.

Your going to have to be very flexible as to the resort you accept. Xmas week in the caribbean is one of the hardest exchanges to get. That you really need a two bedroom unit adds to the difficulty of getting the exchange.
Also keep in mind that the price if airfare is going very high.

Your going to need a strong trading unit and you should place a request ASAP for as many properties as you find acceptable in as many places as you will accept.

Not exactly what you had in mind, but have you considered Mexico? I travel the same week and actually need a 2BR and a 1BR to hold my family. I've been easily able to get what I need thru SFX, if you have something to exchange that they will accept. For Xmas 2007, we were in Mayan Palace Riviera Maya, and for Xmas 2009, we will be at Grand Mayan Nuevo Vallarta. Both times were confirmed immediately upon putting in the request.

I was thinking of Aruba- Marriott perhaps- are you trading in or renting something? An all inclusive is really easy with kids and some resorts in Mexico or the Caribbean speacialize in kids activities.

If you don't mind paying the all-inclusive fee, you might want to consider exchanging into one of the many AI timeshare resorts in Caribbean Mexico - Cancun, the Riviera Maya and Cozumel. They typically provide lots of activities. Another advantage is that all-inclusive timeshare resorts are often easier to exchange into than others. That could be important since you want to go during Christmas week.
