Hi. We also got scammed with Priority Vacation Rental. We tried to cancel it within 10 days and asked for refund, but their sales tactics were so bad, we got into it.
Already filed with BBB, Florida State Attorney general. We live in CA, so should we also file anything in California?
Also, where to file a police complaint?
I will request a fraud on my credit card charge.
In all honesty - Is the money gone and no way to recover?
Your best bet for a refund is the credit card dispute. Do that immediately. I suggest you also file an Attorney General complaint in California. File the AG complaints even if you get your refund from your CC company. This scammer needs to be shut down. Filing a police report may help your credit card dispute and can, occasionally, result in the company refunding your money. I don’t think it will in this case as I suspect the scammers will be closing the business soon (and likely start fresh with a new name). You can check with your local police department. The link for California is below.

Good luck. Come back and let us know if you were successful.

How long has it been since the transaction posted? If it has been more than 60 days since your credit card statement was issued, then it is too late to request a charge reversal.
I'll clarify a little by stating that the above is what is required by law. There is a chance that your credit card company will be more generous.

Thanks a lot again. I was also thinking of putting a case in the small claims court in seminole county - https://www.seminoleclerk.org/departments/courts/civil-court/small-claims/

I'd like to thank you all for this site, and this thread and especially RX8 for the extra detective work that you put in, you guys just saved me from getting scammed out of $2994.
Thank you for coming to TUG to share this! It seems like all we hear is from people who got scammed already. Love to see that our warnings on TUG are found in time to prevent some people from losing thousands of dollars.

Think of the people who do not find TUG and do spend that money for a scam.

A few times I have baited the scammers into a conf call with Interval. One guy took the bait and actually confronted th II CS agent. Then he eventually hung up. They are the scum of the earth. A pile of dog S$%#.
Must have worked to my advantage since they have not called in a while. However I continue to get a multitude of other scam calls. Lately it's been a Medicare scam.
