Same scenario for me... with a FOUR (actually went to wordplay to find the right word because it was laborious (and I'm lazy) to find the correct missing letter.
Could say this was me today while solving Wordle (Sandi had reached the nadir of her sufferings). There, I used it in a sentence!

I use PIVOT often, hoping I’ll get it in one sometime (one of my favorite Friends episodes). I recently added NADIR to my list. Once the “I” was the only good letter from PIVOT, back I went to my list of “good words” for a word that could work. Struck gold today!
