It must be me. I got another in my seemingly never ending string of fours. If this keeps up, I’m going to start growing mold.

Three, and I laughed out loud.

The third guess was a stab in the dark, knowing it was wrong. It wasn't. :D

I learned a new word today.

After three guesses, I had all five letters......and googled runic .

It's a word....I put it in for my fourth guess.
(Unfortunately it was wrong....so I got a five)
 
For the first time, I cheated. Came here to see Jon’s answer. Was stuck after three with every letter except the C, and just couldn’t make sense of any letters to try.
I wish we could delete a letter in the beginning or middle of the word, if that was the only one you wanted to change. Not erase everything up to it.

That would be a great feature. The wordle practice knockoff (wordplay) has it.
 
A very productive second guess helped break my streak of fours with a three.

So did you get it on your 4th?
 
Four. Perfect third guess, but for some reason, it was the wrong word. Go figure... ;)
