Five for me. TIP: The answer is rarely correct when reusing a letter in the same place it was already proven to be in the wrong place. D'oh! :cautious: :D

I again used a word from my cereal box as a starter. After some early success, I was relieved to get it in four. I could easily think of three more possibilities for the remmaining two letters and there might have been more. Could easily have bombed out even with my early success.

Phew! Two spaces to go with at least three possibilities for the first letter (not to mention two others eliminated because I had used two possible letters on my first line) . Am I going to bomb out? Glad to walk away with a five given the situation.

I a sure that there will be some lower scores, but wonder if someone will bomb out. This is the sort of Wordle where that can happen. Lots of possibilities for just one missing letter.

You are correct, sir! I had three chances remaining, but six possibilities. I got it by using two elimination words. Details below.
After my third try, I was left with XXTCH. The possibilities were, Batch, Catch, Hatch, Match and Watch. So, I had a 50/50 chance of guessing it; 3 tries, 6 possibilities, I didn’t like my odds. I decided to use an elimination word but quickly realized it would take more than one. After a couple of minutes, I came up with BYLAW and CHAMP. That would test all six remaining letters and guarantee that I could solve the puzzle on my sixth try. I, typically, like to “fly by the seat of my pants” in this game but I also like to win. I’ll take the six.

Following up on my previous message, while unlikely, it would be possible to have had the last four letters green on line one and still bomb out in that there would be six more possibilities for the remaining letter.
