My first word is generally based on the answer the day before. Previous day solution was GRAIL, so I thought of GOAL (doesn’t need to make sense to anyone but me), but it needed to be five letters long, hence GOALS. 99.9% of the time I’m not going to get it on my first try. No reason not to use an S at the end because there might be an S somewhere in the solution.
