Wyndham sets up your external trading company, star island is an Ii property,, but if you just purchased Wyndham will set the unit up as a RCI trading account.

Wyndham is not the manager at Star Island and they dont "own" the whole resort...There are lots of units that are not Wyndham..

The RCI resort id for Star Island is C354 There is availability there using TPU, so I imaging someone deposited these weeks

That's interesting, do you know what other managing companies are also part of star island? I noticed a fixed week for sale that would have been nice for me, but it only mentioned II in the ad, so i was hesitant to buy it...i noticed that Star Island has an RCI Code, just wasn't sure if there were restrictions with which owners can deposit and which can't

I own at Star Island and deposit to RCI. I think it depends on the original deed.

You are addicted. Orlando is always available for bonus weeks in II and I would assume in RCI also. I see it all the time and can book bonus weeks or flex change. The cost for a week even with an exchange fee is $200 or so ...why would you buy...lousy trade power. I am trying to help you out here. Timeshare
Anonymous meeting needed. Where will we have it..oh, I know Orlando..first week of June. I will be there.

You have NO idea! So far this week i've made three offers on Timeshares, all WAY below asking price, two Specificly because they have Triple Digit TPU values, nevermind the fact that i already have more weeks(TPU's) then i can use in RCI :wall: and one because, well its Presidents week at Massanutten and i think my Daughter would love to go back their every year on Presidents week, even though i know that is an Easy exchange:wall:

Welcome to the Kool-aid my friend...have another sip! :cheer:

We started with a 189,000 points at star island and in 8-12 weeks (depending on Wyndham) we will be up to almost 1.3 million. I think I may need that group as well...

You guys are nuts. A few months ago I was bidding on Wyndham points to add to my portfolio, now I want to sell some. I bought SDO. I am now officially updating my portfolio. I have 2 timeshares right now but plan to sell one and I want a SBO small one bedroom with the super low MF. I am going to have Starwood priority.:cheer: I like II, but the Sheraton is dual affiliated so I can change companies or have both if I want.
I am trying hard to manage my addiction and not buy too much!!

You seem to be addicted to Wyndham, at least Ride has some variety!

Whats not to like, just like cheap vodka; its cheap and still satisfies

Ride...since you are already in the position of not being able to use everything you already own; rather than looking at TPU for your next purchase, look at rent-a-bility....Its a way to satisfy the addiction without busting the budget

I just bought a week at a ski resort. (its a stand alone 3 bedroom log cabin. I dont ski and I dont want to learn, (I dont even own a winter coat) and the TPU is lousy but the mf is low, and there is an on site rental company that says they can get double mf in rent...so Im in

Not at all. We found Wyndham and like the system. And I fully admit to being a member of the Wyndham (resale) Kool-aid club...lol
