Anyone heard of “Premiere / Beyond Experience” vacation club at Temptation Cancun? Is it legit?

Hi everyone,

I was recently on vacation in Cancun (staying at Temptation), and I got pulled into a sales presentation. They offered me something that’s not exactly a timeshare, but more like a vacation club membership. Here are the main points they pitched:

  • Pay around $13,000 total (USD 2,900 upfront + USD 178/month for 5 years).
  • Supposedly get 50 weeks / 350 nights.
  • They claim any hotel available through their platform can be booked for $499/week, including luxury properties (they even implied places like Mandarin Oriental or Four Seasons).
  • Each year they “give” you $2,000 in credits to use on bookings.
  • Plus a couple of “bonus trips” (one week at a destination of choice, and one week in Turkey).

My concerns / red flags:
  • They would not give me a copy of the contract to take home.
  • They could not show me a live demo of booking a luxury hotel for $499/week.
  • When I pressed for proof, they just said “the contract is legal” and “20k members are happy.”
  • It felt very high-pressure, and they kept pushing me to sign on the spot.

I know this isn’t a traditional timeshare (no deeded property), but more of a travel club membership. Has anyone here dealt with Premiere by Original / Beyond Experience at Temptation Cancun? Is it actually usable, or is it just one of those traps where you end up unable to book the luxury hotels they promise?

Appreciate any insights or first-hand experiences 🙏.

Thanks in advance!

They want you to pay USD 13,000 for a contract they will not let you review at your own pace.
They will not show you a demonstration of the wonderful promises they are making which you can't confirm because you are not allowed to take time to even read the contract.
And yet you come over here to ask if they are legit?
REALLY?
What is your definition of "legit"?

Not trying to beat you down but you have clearly outlined the red flags and you are still thinking about them. If I told you they are legit, would you still go ahead?

This is a scam. Forget about them and move on. If you already bought the product: cancel. If you want to learn about timeshares (and vacation clubs)and the best way to get in then stick around and do some research and ask questions.

FWIW, people seem to like the Temptations resort itself. I have never been there but the complaints I have read primarily had to do with the presentation and the package you were promised.

Reread WorldT’s post.

This is an all-inclusive resort. Many of these resorts sell similar packages or memberships. You’re really just pre-paying for a number of nights of stay at their properties. You really need to do the math to determine if it is cost-effective to purchase. You also need to be careful because only a certain limited number of nights will include the all inclusive feature. Additional stays might require you to pay an additional fee for the all-inclusive add-on
