I'm very concerned, too. Richard was a prolific poster. We have had several private conversations in the past, but none recently. He was an interesting and kind person. I have been travelling a lot recently, so I hadn't noticed his absence.

I hope he is OK. He had some significant health issues about 3 to 4 years ago, but seemed to have recovered from them. Hopefully, there has not been a reoccurrence. I've sent him a private message. In the meantime, I am keeping my fingers crossed and sending him good thoughts and prayers.

There has periodically been grumpiness, usually by newbies, and he’s always persevered. Hope he’s OK.

I wonder if his surname is in the (non-public) TUG membership records? Kind of morbid, but if it is, then a search of obituaries could be done to rule that possibility out.
