I have been contacted by a firm called Advanced Portfolio Development LLC, that I believe is operating out of Albuquerque, NM.
They offer (unsolicited by me) to BUY my timeshare that I own (deeded, not a VOI) at the Casa Del Mar Resort in Ormond Beach, FL.

Has anyone ever had any dealings with this company? The BBB in New Mexico say they have been around only since 2022.

BTW, there is more than one company called "Advanced Portfolio Development" in more than one state, so I am wondering about it/them....

Only scammers will ever cold call to buy your timeshare.

Did you even have this TS advertised for sale? Did this supposed buyer offer you way more money for it than what it is worth?

noone legitimate reaches out to owners with offers to buy your timeshare, only scammers

In my decade long history of looking at timeshare scams one thing I have learned is that with any thread like “Anyone have experience with XYZ company?” the company is going to end up being a scam more often than not.

I looked at their website quickly. First impression is that the structure of their website is the same as hundreds of other scam websites I have reviewed. The first lie is obvious. They state “For over 42 years, we’ve provided commercial resort developer services.” However, the website was created January 2022. Finally, their testimonials are all fake. The pictures of the reviewers are not unique as reverse image shows all were all stolen off the internet.

Edited: @Jeddy You found their BBB profile but you fail to mention in your post that the BBB has an alert. The BBB created a profile only because they got a complaint on them. They recognized discrepancies and sent a letter to the company October 2022 requesting some answers and the company ignored them. This is without a doubt a scam.

One more add. There is another very similar website in structure that I found. In addition, the photos for the “teams” for both these companies are identical except for the names. I do not know if this other company/website is legit (didn’t investigate anything) but I do know it predates the one in discussion here by four years. Again, there is zero doubt that Advanced Portfolio is a scam. Compare the two:

To all that replied on 14/15 Sept 2023: thank you for the input.
Your opinions & observations support my suspicions (which is why I posted).
I did see the "Alert" on the Albuquerque BBB site but chose to omit that from my post as I wanted my inquiry to be "neutral".
So I have 4 replies with opinions (some strong), but no direct experience.
Yes, I have had the timeshare up for sale, so that may be the avenue by which they found my phone number.
Again, my thanks to all contributors.

Being a scam company you won’t find any real person with direct experience. If you do get someone saying they had a positive experience that would be a shill, someone associated with the scam, posting their fake experiences with recently created profiles.

If that is the case, did the person offer you way more money for your TS than it is actually worth? Did he offer you more for it than you listed it for?

If you haven't figured it out yet then I'll tell you; "Most Timeshares are worth little or nothing!" With that said, why on earth would someone call you out of the blue to buy your timeshare?

If you're having difficulty selling it then think about just giving it away on the TUG Free Timeshare Giveaway Forum right away so the new owner will have to pay the upcoming 2024 annual maintenance fees.

If anyone wants to charge you an upfront fee to sell your timeshare then you know it is a scam. Please keep your hands in your pockets and protect your assets.

I also forgot to ask, did you have your phone number listed in the ad? If you are advertising using a reputable, legitimate TS-related website like TUG, Red Week, or E-Bay, etc., legitimate inquiries will usually come to your e-mail or as a message through your account on these websites, not via phone.
