I'm wondering if anyone has been to The Villas of Hickory Hills, RCI #5065, since the hurricane hit? I have a reservation in March and the when I call the resort directly noone answers the phone. Have they reopened? Will they be open in March? Any info would be appreciated.

I think the fact that they don't answer the phone may be part of the answer. If this was an ORE or MROP exchange, why not call them. They will probably know.

Just in case anyone wants to know, I took the advice and called ORE and their reply is that everything is OK and the exchange is still on. I tried to call the resort directly again and finally got someone and they told me they were working on repairs and hope to be able to reopen in the spring. What am I supposed to do?

I am an owner at Hickory Hills, and the latest info I have is that they are scheduled to re-open some units in April, 2006.

The HOA held their annual meeting on Feb. 18th, and more info was promised after that meeting. I am a little surprised that they can open that early. The pictures of the hurricane aftermath show that damage was very severe.

RCI is currently showing the resort as unavailable.

You can try calling 877-26-CROWN to talk with Crown Resorts Ltd., who is the property manager for most of the timeshares. They may be able to help you.
