Anyone Else Noticing Google Chrome Spell Check Not Working?

I am using Chrome on a Mac and have been having problems with spellcheck on posts and other sites for about a month or so. Misspelled words will show up with the red underline, though when right clicking on them and selecting the correct spelling, it won't actually fix the word. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. Then also, randomly it will show the red underline and then they will all dissapear, with no way to identify the misspelled words. Anyone else have this issue?

Example: As soon as I stopped typing in this post, all of the red underlines disappeared that were there while I was typing. I also saw the red underlines again and right clicked one and it did fix it, bniut then all the other red underlines disappeared.

I suspect there is an option somewhere that a recent update has turned off.
I use a late 2012 Mac Mini and I am currently running Catalina 10.15.5. My mac has received two major O/S updates in the last 3 months and a fair number of functions I was used to seem to have changed.

I am running the same Catalina version, just on a MacBook Pro. I may look at my wifes 2012 mini that is also running the same O/S. Odly, it isn't that the spell check is off, it just does in and out at on a whim.
