Anybody own at Suites at Attitash?

The "buy another week" bug is biting at me....we're at Attitash this weekend, and there is a week 30 available. We love the 1 BR sleeps 6 units. This is the third long weekend we've spent in one, and we find them very comfortable even with 5 of us.

I'm curious about how it is to own here. We only own at one resort, which we love...the staff is more like family. This is a much larger place, of course. Would love any insight you folks can give. I feel like somebody just got a week here...one of the J's...Jan, or maybe Judy?

Attitash in NH?
If so we have 2 weeks there which are interesting. They are part of Taranova so actually it’s 5 (?) different resorts. I think it’s SC, AZ, NH, Costa Rica and someplace else. We only use at Attitash and usually ski season. We are soon going to put 1 week in Bargain Basement.

Yes, Attitash in NH. We have stayed here twice in a 1 BR sleeps 6 for Veteran's Day weekend, and then we stayed the entire Feb break week in a regular Attitash Mountain Village unit. (2 BR sleeps 8) My ever-practical husband is likely to ixnay any purchase (we already own 4 weeks at Cold Spring) but the prospect of a summer week here is intriguing me. The MF is quite reasonable...to the point of if we stayed 3 or 4 nights we'd break even as compared with the price of a hotel room in summer.

I dont own there, but what is your initial investment and what are the MF fees? How many TPUs will rci give you if you deposit it the years you may not use?

Yes, the MFs are cheaper than a hotel, but are they cheaper than the EV you usually get?

The other factor is the 1 in 4 that will limit your exchanges.

20 TPU's. 99 cents. Very rarely see summer EV's here....and when we do, they tend to be more than $700/week. The 1 in 4 limits exchanging in, which is a + in favor of owning where/when we want to use, rather than trying to exchange in.

I saw that listing! We love our week 31 in the Whites, though we don't own at Attitash.

Though we used the same logic recently considering owning at your resort-Cold Spring- for XMAS since we rent that week up there in NH every year anyway, another TUGGER pointed out that even though we have no intention of ever exchanging it, it would be hard to get rid of when the time came because most people would not want a poor trader. In our case, we could maybe get rentals via alternate ways- other tuggers booking for us, Trip Beat, etc., but at least not be stuck with the ownership.

So think carefully.

For $520 and relatively no buy in cost, it would make sense if you know you will use it every year for the full week.

Personally though, I would look for 2 BR at Suites, sleeps 10. Same unit as you are looking at but you would have the lock off studio below in the first floor. My guess is the MF fees are not much more and you could deposit and get a few TPUs from the lock off and then once you family gets older and you travel with more people you have the room.

We have a 1BR suite we are looking to sell. Week 52/53 Langdon D4, Sunday checkin. We get the extra week every 4 years I believe, but I'd have to confirm. We are currently in the points system 65,000 per year. We used it often when we lived in Connecticut, but we now live in Colorado. Let me know if you are interested.
