This person is selling some timeshares through Ebay and I was wondering if anyboydy has had any experiences? If you have, please let me know how they went.

TIA

Yes - I made my Westin St John purchase thru GoVacations/Donate for a Cause/Resort Closings.

Now that ny tranactions has been sucessfully recorded - I have been planning to write a summary here on TUG (as I put 'search TUG' as part of my eBay feedback). If I get a chance a will try today/tomorrow.

Overall - my transaction did finalize without a hitch - albeit a bit slow, but that was more likely due to transferring/recording a deed in the USVI than RCs fault.

I will be posting on the Hotel-based TUG section - for past info - search 'blujahz' and 'WSJ'

Go Vacations is one of several names for a big Ebay reseller of TS in Bozeman MT. They are legit but inflexable. They require their closing company (which they run) to do all closings. They require closing on resorts which no closing is possible such as non-deeded properties. (like TS point memberships).

If you get a good deal from them, I'm sure you'll be happy. But, for some TS (like worldmark) I'd stay away, since they'll charge you $450 +$100 resort transfer fee to close when there is nothing to do except notify the resort and pay the $100 transfer fee.

On a side note, I just bought from another big Ebay TS reseller, Holiday Group. They also charge $450 to send a letter to the resort to do closing. (the resort did the closing for an additional $350) but the deal was so good, I was happy to do the deal anyway.

Good Luck

I did, my closing was done in a very professional and timely manner and I will definitely use them again with confidence. They were very good at staying in contact not only via email, but also by phone.

Another example of questionable things done by GoVacations is to use different eBay sellers names. For example, check out the new eBay auction for WKORV
http://cgi.ebay.com/Westin-Kaanapol...ryZ15897QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Notice the seller is listed as located in Bozeman, MT - hmmmmm

Not only that, but the WKORV description is deceiving - this unit is a Deluxe floorplan (based on sqft and MFs) and is listed as an OV (although could be IV), and it states week 2, but does not say whether it is fixed or float (MAJOR diference). It is priced like it is fixed at $65K - however if it is float, then it is WAY overpriced considering that an OF Deluxe float unit just went unsold on eBay for $49.5K.

Yet, they make it seem as if it is a deal by comparing it to WKORV-N.

You would think as a seller you would want to get the info correct - and for certain justify why the price is so high.
