We also toured the Bay Vista 2 BR in July and they were beautiful, and, surprisingly, the price was $45K EY for the summer, the same as for the 3 BR mentioned, with a only a 30K starpoint incentive. We are going back on an explorer package to the 2 BR next year, and if we love WSJ as much as we did last month, we'll by resale.

Did you tour the new Bay Vista units?

Tropical system

The tropical system (92L) should be right over St. John in a few hours. The latest weather report shows sustained winds at 35 MPH, but the NWS is not calling it a tropical depression just yet. Luckily it didn't turn into a hurricane. So far we've had a few showers here and there, but the winds haven't picked up at all. However, the heavy thunderstorm activity is on the east side of the system, which explains the flash flood watch for later tonight.

On the bright side, we were able to enjoy the beach and the pool all day without feeling any effects from the weather.

Just wondering what the weather is like on St John today or what it is looking like tomorrow. Pedro I know you guys leave tomorrow and we arrive on UAL around 2:30pm, hope we aren't looking at delays for us coming or you YOU going home!
Haven't seen any tropical updates lately, but last I saw looked like there was alot of rain with this system...
I'm sure it will be all good after we have that first rum punch, it's just the getting there part!

There was a lot of rain indeed, although the winds remained relatively calm. The heavy rain started around 8 or 9 pm, and continued throughout the night. It finally stopped around 9 this morning, with an sporadic shower until noon. I know we had at leat 5 inches of rain - I measured the level in the hot tub and this morning it was overflowing. The pool water in our villa turned green overnight. I don't know if it was because of lack of chlorine, polen, or something else. The main pool looked fine as always. The weather was great for the rest of the day.

We don't expect any weather-related delays tomorrow, so hopefully your flight will arrive on time. We leave at 4:30 pm on AA, and the weather forecast looks good for the afternoon. Now that the system has intensified, it will be threatening Florida early next week. Hopefully it will stay below hurricane strenght.

Yes, it did, but it followed you home! Hope you didn't get any damage or flooding!

Yes, this is the season for storms! Fay didn't caused us much trouble other than having 19 inches of rain over 2 days. The kids had their first day of school on Monday and then the rest of the week off; first because of the wind and rain, and then because of all the street flooding. I finally ventured out of the house on Thursday just to find most of the roads flooded, the canals overflowing, and potholes everywhere. At least the sun is shining now. :)
