I'm heading to Kauai Beach Villas today and will need to attend Wyndham's presentation in order to get wristbands for the hotel pool next door. I have no intention of converting my Pahio week to points nor signing up for anything. However in the past the sales pitches ran way over the 90 minutes.

Any tips on how to shorten the time spent in their sales office?

Also, what is the shortest amount of time you spent at the sales presentation?

Tell them you know people who haven't been able to get into the Wyndham website for 2+ months. That might do it.

Set your alarm on your smartphone. Tell him you have a meeting/whatever to get to at x'oclock.

Don't go. Is the hotel pool *that* important?

Unfortunately there pool is that important. The pool is walking distance to the room and was a major reason why we got the timeshare back in 2000. However back in 2000, there was a reciprocal agreement with the hotel and the timeshare to let timeshare folks to use the pool for free. Now after many hotel owner changes, it's no longer fee. Wyndham has an arrangement where timeshare folks can only get a wristband if they sit through a presentation.

just dont ask or answer any questions.. The sales guy's presentation is based on what you tell them, so they will ask about your kids, or grandkids, your vacation habits, etc etc to get some idea of what turns you on. They then tailor their pitch to what they understand your needs are. Dont tell them anything and they wont know what to say, so they will fall back to a generalized pitch.... and dont ask any questions. they will take time to answer, and you dont want that

when they go in for the close, dont make objections, dont tell them why you arent willing to buy. They are trained to overcome any objection, just say No! You will have to say it more than once. What I always did when they wouldnt take no for an answer. Is to say "Im happy to sit here all day talking about timeshares, but at the end of the day, the answer is still gonna be no. and the sooner you get rid of me, the sooner you get to see your next prospect . Every salesman knows that every no brings them closer to the guy that is eager to say yes.

Or you could say right from the beginning , "Im only here for the pool passes, Im not buying". "Im happy to sit here all day talking about timeshares, but at the end of the day, the answer is still gonna be no. The sooner you get rid of me, the sooner you get to see your next prospect and he might be your buyer"

I always set an alarm. You sign up for 90 minutes, at 90 minutes you are done. No obligation to stay whatsoever. I also tell them straight up, Im here for the gift, and I have no plans to buy, so don't even try. My shortest sales pitch was less than 15 minutes, the sales weasel said, "You're wasting my time", then he sent me to get my gift!!

Wear this:::

Tell them, great, I want to tell everyone there about the great deal I got on Wyndham points through eBay and save them tens of thousands of dollars. Sign me up! Or, to quote Nancy Reagan, "Just say no!"

We got our in 15 minutes. We told the sales rep that we were only there for the wrist bands and gift card and really didn't like Wyndham. He got offended and walked out on us. We got up to find a supervisor. The receptionist gave us our wristbands and gift card and we left. Best presentation experience.

We had a two night stay last week. We got sent to the parking pass desk. The guy would not take no for an answer about attending an update. Come on , we had only one full day there, and we are in our seventies. We don't want anything more and had to tell him no several times.
