My wife & I prefer timeshares that are NOT all-inclusives or at the very least give you the option. It seems most if not all timeshares we look at in PDC & PV are mandatory AI's. There must be timeshares that aren't AI in those areas, arent' there? Can someone please tell us what timeshares are NOT AIs in these places? Thank you!

Well in Puerto and Nuevo Vallarta

all the Grupo Mayan's, which are the Grand Mayan, the Mayan Palace, and the Sea Garden , the Club Regina at the Westin, the Lindo Mar, the Alta Vista
Casa de la Playa, Conchas Chinas, plus lost of others.

In fact most of the timeshares are NON-AI in the Puerto/Nuevo Vallarta area.

Where are you looking that you are seeing almost all AI's?

Now in Cancun/Playa area, lots of resorts are AI mandatory, but there are still the Mayan Palace, Grand Mayan, all the Royals, the Coral Mar, and more.

Let use know what you are looking for and where you are searching, maybe we can help.

Greg

Greg,
We've never been to the gulf side, so that interests us. We've been to Mazatlan a number of times & once to Ixtapa. We're thinking of PDC, PV/NV would work & Ixtapa/Zih would work too. We're trading thru RCI. Anything NOT all-inclusive & on the beach would be worth considering. Preferably walking distance to things but not a must. Once we get ideas like you have, then we'll start researching TUG & other places to narrow it down.

There are quite a few RCI timeshares in PV that are not AI, they are probably grabbed when they are banked thus not coming up on searches as often as AI resorts. Club Regina, Villa del Palmar, Los Tules, Sheraton Buganvilias, Mayan Palace are ones that I can name offhand that are in the hotel zone or marina. Pv is one of the last places I would ever want to do AI - food and service at the restaurants is fantastic!

Very good info. Thank you I appreciate it. I'm gonna start researching immediately.

How far out are you looking? Have you started an

on-going search with RCI?

You should be able to get something nice in PV/NV if you planning far enough in advance.

What are you using to trade? What time of the year are you hoping to travel?

Greg

yes, will do an ongoing search. We own a red week at Charlotte Bay in Florida. We're looking for Feb-Mar.

The Mayan Palace in Nuevo

shows pretty good open space using a medium trader for Feb.Mar-2008.

Using a GC Mex winter week , the grand Mayan shows several weeks open in one bedroom units.

Using my best Mx trader, I show lots of open space at the MP in Puerto Vallarta. Nice location in the marina, close to downtown.

Start a search with RCI, you should be fine. Best, Greg

The Royal Haciendas

The Royal Haciendas in PDC are not All Inclusive. The resort is new with the second phase opening June 30. The units are wonderful. You can see more information at www.royalresorts.com

OOPS Sorry I see that you're looking to trade in with RCI. The Royal Resorts are with I.I.
