Any hope getting this exchange with AC?

I got an AC from II few months ago for a 2bedroom unit. I would like to get a 2bedroom unit at Marriott's Grand Chateau a week before Christmas (December 14,15 or 16 check in). Put an ongoing request with II yesterday. I know a week before Christmas is not a high demand week but still wondering if AC would get me the week. I could always exchange, my one bedroom Grande Vista unit sees a 3 bedroom unit but I would like to use the AC first if possible. Any thoughts?
 
Of course, there is always hope.
So you were able to put in a request with an AC more than 60 days out...interesting. Was it a true AC or a replacement week?
 
It was a true AC. I thought it was interesting that I was able to put an ongoing request. Of course I had to put 3 different resorts or 3 different check in dates but I only want that one week. So Aruba was on my AC list as well. So I did Aruba Ocean Club Christmas week as my second choice and new years week as my third because I know there is no hope at all I would get either one of those :p
 
my AC in Dec 2011 wouldn't pull above a studio for MGC - i wound up settling for a 1BR at the polo towers rather than use my regular week to trade for MGC.

your mileage may vary, but i found the ACs to be pretty weak.
 
Since you see a 3-bedroom availability I would call II and ask them if you could have it. The worst that will happen is they say no but every once in a while a rep will put something through. Good luck!!
 
I was able to pull a studio at Ft Lauderdale Beach Towers Dec 8th last year and there was some availability the week before the holidays. I already had a 1 bedroom booked for the week which ended Dec 23rd. Keep looking and call as well. I am finding they have access to things not posted at times.

Wow...I called II yesterday asking about getting the exchange with my AC since I was able to see availability with my one bedroom Grande Vista unit. I was told AC is not strong enough to get that exchange and it probably would not happen until 60 days or less before check in. Checked my account today and I was confirmed a 2 bedroom unit at Marriott's Grand Chateau just as I requested with the AC. Woo hoo, I am super pleased with II!! :cheer:
