We need a round trip transfer with a stop to buy groceries, any recommendations? Thank you!

I've seen people here on TUG recommend Sandra Ferguson's taxi service. I've also seen many people say that you don't need to arrange a taxi in advance, but to make sure to negotiate the rate in advance before you get in the taxi.

Based on the comments I've seen, we'll probably go with Sandra's for our upcoming trip.

I'm sure others with actual experience will weigh in.

ya, grab a taxi and ask him to stop. Abundance of taxis outside the airport.

For arranged ride:

If you call the harborside lobby, and ask to speak with one of the bellman, you can arrange a ride with a Cabbie named Michael (or M&M as the locals call him.) it will be standard, posted cab fare, with a little extra to stop and shop.

I was there over T-giving - plenty of cabs - organized and regulated - no need, imo, to book in advance - set fee to paradise island + add-ons for # of passengers and # of bags

Agree! ... eom

This is for a friend going on December 31st. I will let her know to just grab a cab.
Last time we had an arranged ride but I am unable to get in touch with the same driver. Thanks a lot!

Sandra is great! I've always felt safe leaving my bags in the car en route to the resort when we stop for grocery shopping, and her (or her daughter, etc) were always on time and very friendly. Whenever I've just grabbed a cab outside it's been an indifferent experience. I'd rather have a prearranged pickup whenever possible, but that's me.

Both times we went to Atlantis we used Sandra to and from the airport. We always had her stop at the grocery store and liquor store. This time she took us to 2 grocery stores because I couldn't find something at the first one. Call in advance to reserve. I thought her prices was good. 3 adults, 3 kids $65.00 to the resort and $55.00 back. Have a great time!

I just got a quote from her. Two adults, three kids and a stop at the grocery store. $60 for the arrival and $45 for the departure. She will also provide a car seat. A random taxi at the airport might be a bit cheaper, but we're definitely going to use her.

Sounds good - thanks all - I sent my friend the link to this thread so she can read the positive feedback for Sandra.
