Any experience with Scottsdale rentals for Memorial Day Week?

I'm wondering if I should trade into one of the Scottsdale properties for Memorial Day week, or if there might be a seven day last minute rental available for around $500, what with it being Arizona hot there already then?

I would look for an Interval Getaway (or the RCI equivalent). Assuming you find one, and I believe you will, you will actually pay a bit less than your $500 budget.

Thank you

I appreciate your quick response! The only thing I'm worried about is that it will be for me and other out of town family members who will be attending Mom's 80th birthday celebration, so I am a little anxious about a last minute rental, even though I am guessing you are right about there being inventory.

Easy to get Scottsdale

Troon North are the two best and we prefer the Westin location

Either would be close to heaven

Either Troon North or Westin Kierland for $500 would be as close to heaven as one can get this side of Paradise- :cheer:

I agree with the other response, if you have II try to get a getaway week. Weeks for that time of year should be available without having to wait until the last minute. I've never seen Troon North offered but Marriott Canyon Villas and Westin Kierland Villas usually are. There are other good choices in the area, if you're patient you'll find something for less than $500. And yes, temperatures are starting to reach 100+ by the end of May.

Got a great deal

I actually ended up checking out reservations using an owner discount at my home resort and got the units and actual days I needed (less than a week) at my home resort for a song, and so will keep my trader week for any great opportunities that arise. Thanks Shell! (No, I am not a Shell shill, just a happy customer.)
