haha, lots of great responses. Honestly, I didn't expect all the twists and turns from my question but entertaining nonetheless!

I'd probably go with the Audi interiors are the best IMO... not a fan of the newer 5 series style and seems like everyone has one. Why the Bluetec and not a gas model?

Bluetec due to the great lease program. 75% residual with next to nothing money factor. I think I am going to pass on this one though and go with the Audi as like you said, the interior is really awesome on the Audi.

Funny! when I was 20 something I went car shopping with a friend who wanted to buy a BMW 318. The salesman said the same thing!:p
He even took us for a ride in a 540 to try to persuade him!
He didnt buy from him of course!

First car I ever bought 'new' was a BMW 318i stick. Love that car, got great gas mileage, no mechanical issues, still have it as a back-up and get questions all the time if I'd be willing to sell it. Definitely not a performance car.

I would go with the Audi. We have an A-8 that we bought when it was 4 years old and it is now 12 years old and has 190,000 miles on it. It has been a great car and still looks and runs great. We also had an A-6 which was also a great car although my son totaled it, so we bought a 3.2 TT Coupe that so far has also been reliable although it only has 30,000 miles on it. The all wheel drives handle great in the snow. My son has a 1987 Coupe GT that he restored and that has about 270,000 miles on it and he drives it every day to work. My other son had a 1987 A-4 that he had for 12 years that never gave him any major problems and he traded that in for a Q-5 which so far has also been great. I guess you can say we are an Audi family although we also owned many other brands of cars including a 1998 BMW M-3 that we sold to our son with only 28,000 miles on it. He has the old Audi and the BMW but mostly drives the Audi and saves the BMW for good weather:). Good luck with your decision.
