On an unsolicited call to my phone, ANR Realty LLC offered $382,500.00 for my 3 Hilton Vacation Club deeded weeks. Should I take it?

Since that was their first offer, it is likely to be a low-ball offer. Tell them that they need to sharpen their pencils and come up with at least a half million.

What is really sad is that there are people either already scammed and/or are in process of being scammed by this very same “offer” by this fake company.

I can’t remember who said this but it is true that there are no true victims, only volunteers.

I would counter their offer at $1.5 million. Watch how fast they accept.

These are doozies. It seems to pray on the same types of victims as the Nigerian Prince and lottery scams: those with drunken greed. Becoming intoxicated on the idea that this could actually be real and change their life, they are blind to how foolishly silly and outside of reality such an idea is.

Timeshares are an excellent investment! We have gotten great value out of ours but it wasn't financial.

No, they realize how many people are stuck in the quagmire of the sunk-cost fallacy. It's how otherwise intelligent people lose their shirts to scams, gambling and lousy investments.

This seems to be how a lot of scams work. Even those where you get some fake phishing email that many people realize quickly is a scam given the typos and weird use of the English language.

And get those that are the most greedy. Greed runs through many of these scams, as greedy people are more inclined to ignore red flags in their pursuit of money.
