Tug seems to be starting a trend with the free classifieds. I just wonder if businesses will be able to stay afloat simply selling ad space?

I found this site yesterday, www.simplytimeshare.com. It's new and offering free classifieds for both sale and rental ads to seed their inventory. I have no idea what traffic the site will get, so I'm using it much like bidshares, and not expecting much but the price is right :)

Thanks, Richard

Free is good. Like you said, it's free. I will also use it like bidshares. I don't have a lot of luck with bidshares, but I have sold two timeshares. So, you just never know. The more places that you have your stuff listed out there, the more chances you have to find that one person. That's all it takes is that one person that's looking for what you have that they want at the price they want to pay.

Thanks for the information. Does anyone know how well timeshares sell on the TUG marketplace?

Thanks,
Bill

ther have been more than 1000 completed ads on the marketplace.

unlike other sites, we have no way of knowing if they sold through tug, or elsewhere, just that the owners marked the ads as sold/rented...and im not terribly interested in making up numbers for advertising sake.

Free sites don't seem to be pulling anything for me lately (I have active ads for all the major timeshare brands).. Not a single inquiry for the last few weeks from the free sites: Craigslist (other than spam and scam), bidshares, timesharehelper, simply, etc.. Ebay activity has also been slower than normal...

I'm getting higher than normal traffic on MyResort, Redweek, and TimesharesOnly, however.. Is anyone else seeing a shift in buyer/renter traffic?

Sales

I have noticed over the past month on ebay that Marriotts have been getting a lot of bids, and the prices have gone up as well for the most part

Perhaps my eBay ad templates are getting stale and aren't grabbing attention like they used to.. Congrats on yours!
