While it might be nice, I'm not sure there's anything to be gained by doing so. I've seen the nasty online fights that can happen. I don't believe there would be anything any DRI rep could say that would affect the feelings of the concerned owners.
I don't have a dog in this fight so there's not much reason for me to post one way or the other. I did run a brief calculation to see where a $500 MF would be over 14 years assuming a 5% increase per year and came up just short of $1,000. The thing is, I don't know the economics of Hawaii and, as I understand it, Hawaii has been hitting timeshares with disproportionite taxes to make up for shortfalls in the government funding. I know that Westin MF's have gone through the roof in recent years. This might not be as simple as being a DRI issue.
Communication needs to happen but open forums like this one probably wouldn't be productive.
