Considering one or the other for 2 day stay enroute to final destination. Thoughts ???

Our daughter took a 7 week trip to Europe a couple of summers ago and visited both of those cities. I asked her which one she would pick. She said while she liked them both, she would pick Copenhagen. She said if cost is an issue, Copenhagen will be more expensive.

I have visited/stayed in both. Loved both.

Both cities are cool. Amsterdam has more history and is a quite a bit bigger (but easily walkable to all major sights). Amsterdam will also have tons more hotels available at a fraction of the price you'll find in Copenhagen - in my experience everything in Copenhagen was at least double what you'd pay elsewhere in Europe.

Haven't been to Copenhagen but spend about 3 days in Amsterdam before our Viking cruise. Had a blast, and want to return to finish seeing/doing what we didn't get to do/see. Discovered stroopwaffels there!!

I keep returning to Amsterdam. Over and over. Copenhagen is good for one visit. (imo) Hint (the Little Mermaid is...........little!)

Ditto. If you do decide on Copenhagen, if you stay in Malmo, Sweden, you’ll probably save quite a bit. Easy commute across the Sound by train.

Cheers

Amsterdam. Hands down.
