As an occasional Uber user, is there any real value in signing up for Uber One? I know it's "free," but I have to keep an eye on things for future changes and not sure I'd get enough value from it...

Do you use Uber eats? If so, there is a discount for uber one folks, free delivery, and faster deliveries

We actually don't. I tried forcing it during the pandemic, and it just doesn't work for us. We either want to go out occasionally or cook at home. I could see the occasional use, but not often.

Lulu has many things one can actually use (water bottles, belt/shoulder bags/backpacks, ABC pants & other Athleisure) & with 75$ to use q3mo + free shipping/pickup + ability to use on any clearance stuff on website (+ extra 15% off for many), much better than the 50$ q6 mo + extra shipping + super-over-priced everything for Saks with AmEx Platty..

*Mods can you pls possibly move these posts to an Amex Platinum thread OR maybe move this AND many from the Chase Sapphire Reserve Changes (from Marriott forum) to a separate thread about premium credit cards Tips/Tricks/Strategies in general TUG lounge, so we can share & learn without distracting others, who may not want to hear about these other cards?

I think the problem with that is they are intertwined in the existing discussion. If it were to be done, it would be better in the Vacation Travel Information forum.

I sent 2 reports this week to break off the amex platinum posts.
 
*Lulu: The backpack (22L) & the shoulder/waist bag were both excellent quality; both total delivered with tax for under the 75 credit limit for Q3...
 
Also received 2nd Resy credit for Q3 also (for meal partaken 9/29... Looks like they are on it...
With the decent FHR credit + Resy + Lulu + Entertainment (WSJ+NYT+WaPo or YT Prem) + Uber Eats + Airline Incidental + Centurion/Escape lounges, Amex Platinum looks like a keeper, for now..
 
*CSR fee posted for 550 renewal..
Likely switching from CSR to RC (PC from Boundless) Sept/Oct 2026, before next AF hits..

My oldest CC is Chase Marriott Bold not many benefits but high 35k limit that I barely use. Obviously will never close. Been flirting with changing to the RC but just haven’t pulled the trigger. Now with the Platinum, it would kind of be redundant lounge access (slightly better with the resturants). But I think it’s a great option now with the 85k cert. even though they really need to raise that or allow more points to be added as a top off.
 
I’m also planning on doing a Bonvoy—>RC PC so I have a card with lounge access for the 3 of us. Was about to get the Cap1 VX right when they nerfed it’s lounge access.
