Amex Hilton Aspire

Yes, somewhere around here on TUG is a thread where the ones we *know* trigger the credit vs. ones that don't is listed.
that list includes Lagoon which seemed to trigger automatically for some, or did until recently for all.

Not sure this is the appropriate thread. I have the Aspire with an early November renewal date. I was credited for a $250 MF payment for Boulevard made after recent renewal (the last of the old resort credits). It took about 5 days from payment post to credit post.

So I can confirm that
1. MF payment credits still work at Boulevard
2. If you have a Nov/Dec renewal date you'll be able to get an "old" resort credit before the new credits start

that's what it took us for Lagoon as well, back in the spring.

Well that's disappointing. If I might ask, how long did you wait before calling? I'm at 14 days for my Lagoon MFs without a resort credit.

An update. On November 20th I called AMEX to see about the Aspire resort credit for my Lagoon MF and was told, "It hasn't been issued yet and you'll get it in the next 3-5 business days"....and it appeared the next day. So for me at least it looks like I'll have to call whenever I want the Lagoon MF to trigger the resort credit.

How exactly did you ask them for the credit? I think I had read in an earlier post that the Amex representative had told someone that MFs did not trigger the credit (and had asked what exactly was charged to the card) when they had specifically asked about that?

I said that it had been a couple of weeks and I hadn't yet received a resort credit for my charge for the Lagoon tower at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. She asked if she could place me on hold while she looked at it and came back and told me (as I wrote upthread), "It hasn't been issued yet and you'll get it in the next 3-5 business days"....and it appeared the next day.

It was unclear from what she said if the resort credit was in process and it just hadn't been issued yet or after looking at the charge she had to initiate the resort credit process. I didn't particular care so I didn't ask.

From what I understand, MFs are sort of a loophole. So I think it would not be a good idea to mention this explicitly. And it seems that @ljmiii did not.

Cheers.
