Has anyone ever had dealings with an outfit calling itself American Resorts Planning? I was contacted by them with an inquiry as to whether or not I wanted to rent or sell my points. I am pretty sure it is one of those outfits that wants you to pay them to "sell/rent" your points, as they alleged that they work with "corporations" to "arrange accomodations for corporate executives". They said that the web site was www.arplanning.com but when I looked it up, I got an estate planning firm.

That's the one, and that's what I thought. I only wonder why I didn't find the thread when I did the search from the TUG home page.

I had trouble finding it, too - our search function is glitchy. I went to google and put this in the search box: "american resort planning" site:tugbbs.com

Stay Away

Yes, they have been calling me of late. They are going to sell my Ko Olina or rent it out for you. They scope you out first with a telemarketer, then a supervisor(who is a salesman) tries to get you to pay money upfront.

STAY AWAY!!! They get rude when you don't want to do business with them.
