My wife and I are in Aruba with some friends and we had dinner in Amazonia Churrascaria a few nights ago. We've been there many times during past visits and felt that the food and service were good and the pricing reasonable.
Our most recent visit was somewhat surprising and will be our last. I should have noticed that something was different when we entered the restaurant because it was unusually empty and I now understand why. Although it was never an inexpensive place to eat it has now become an unusually pricey restaurant. Dinner for four with cocktails and desert totaled a surprising $390 U.S.
Now, my wife and I are New Yorkers and routinely eat out three or four times a month in Manhattan...so we're not easily surprised by expensive dinners. But Amazonia was certainly an eye opener.
So, if you're visiting, or planning to visit Aruba and you intend to dine at Amazonia be advised that it's pricing has, in my opinion, become excessive
