Alliance Integrated Marketing Systems

Experience with Grupo Mayan, AIMS

I made repeated attempts to gain confidence that Alliance Integrated Marketing Systems was as good as was "trumpeted" during the Grupo Mayan sales pitch, but was convinced both were not to be trusted. By the "grace of God" I kept "pestering" Grupo Mayan to let me out of my contract, and eventually they did! I will NEVER be suckered into a timeshare presentation again!

the best advice i can give is DON"T GO TO ANY TIMESHARE PRESENTATION with these crooks.

they will mislead, lie, and pressure you.

if you try to cancel your contract they will send you to another salesperson, harrass you to no end, tell you it isn't possible.

they will try to get you to sign up for more useless packages like AIM or HSI.

each subsequent salesperson you see will offer you a better deal but will not refund your money for any prior agreements.

they tell you the presentation is only 1 1/2 hours. count on 4-6 hours or even days.

you will probably end up hiring a lawyer to get out of your contract.

they will fraudently tell you that you can pay for your timeshare by renting it out.

these crooks are slick and they know every trick in the book. they will not let you leave without signing some kind of timeshare or HSI contract. as i said your best bet is don't go to their presentation no matter how many free gifts they offer you.

A few weeks ago we were in Mazatlan - even after several street vendors approached us we missed attending a presentation at the Mazatlan Mayan a few weeks ago, but did attend one at the EL CID - received a breakfast and two all inclusive days for food and beverages which were enjoyed around their pool.

We also attended a Torrenza presentation because we had severe concerns of being scammed during our purchase of a Torrenza in January 2009 Preconstruction Studio with a pre-construction bonus week for 100 years - renewable after 30 year - imagine two weeks a year - no brainer - especially with Torrenza renting back our two weeks at $1,000 a week and "their" renter would be paying the maintenance fees - which would amount to $10,000.00 leaving out-of-pocket $2,900.00 for the-rest-of-our-life-timesharing... Reason we bought.

Here's the catch - After we returned home - weeks past the five-day right-of-recission, we had to pay Sierra an up front $689.00 lifetime membership to coordinate the renting of our unit (this stipulation was not talked about at the sales presentation. Sierra is another Resale/rental company as A.I.M... During this past 2010 Torrenza sales presentation we approached the New Sales Team with our concerns that we have not received our Guarantee Rent-back money as promised in their signed Guarantee - they said because of two major storms, one hurricane and the H1N1 epidemic they had a slow year so they moved our weeks into year 2010 and we should expect our rent-back checks sometime in Sept. 2010. We are not holding our breath. We have submitted our case to PROFECO and their reply is that the Mexican Government has a one-year statue of limitation - even though we had contacted them in December, 2009 with our concern that we have been scammed. Profeco's Feb. 20th, 2010 email stated they cannot adjust the statue of limitation but we should send them the required information for their review???? Ah, what's another postage stamp..

We did attend another Timeshare presentation in Mazatlan - the original sale rep was offering one-month in a preconstruction unit for $38,000 - guarentee to rent back three of the four weeks for $1,000 per week (3,000.00 annually) which would pay for the annual fees - we would recoop our money over 30 years - we said no... his boss offered us the same deal, except it was $16,000.00 - by signing today he would put us up in a pent house unit that slept 12 people, knock off $4,000.00 off the $16,000 and again rent back the the weeks. We said NO, He crumbled up the offer notes and said goodbye, go collect your gifts.... On the way, we talked with another Staff member who was doing a evaluation on street contacts and the sales staff - this staff member introduced himself as a concerned construction company owner representative - asked a few menial questions were we treated good, how was the food (breakfast), did we enjoy the tour; AND, as the construction owner rep. he started to offer us a "better" deal with a "better" discount" - we got up and walked out... claimed our gifts of $3,500.00 pesos - the receptionist was arrogant when I refused to pay the cab driver his fare difference - the cabby said these people ought to be in jail....

The bottom line - We truly believe these timeshare rental/resale companies are the same - DO NOT BELIEVE ANY OF THESE TIMESHARE SALE PEOPLE - SAY NO, COLLECT YOUR GIFTS AND WALK AWAY...

It is our feeling we will be losing our original Torrenza Timeshare money of $12,000 and our fees to Sierra - but guarantee I will have $12,700 worth of giving them trouble... I'm preparing a notice that I will stand inside the airports in our home town handing them to passengers heading for Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarat, Ixtopa, Cancun etc.

Just Say NO.... Get out if you can...

Timeshare Rentals & Resales.

I just googled AIMS and found myself on this site. I bought a studio at the Mayan Palace about 3 weeks ago with the same pitch that I can rent out my 2 weeks that I purchased there and profit $800/wk. They said I'd make more if I rent on my own and gave me a sheet with tips on how to do this. And then they gave another sheet of Vacation Ownership Rental & Resale Companies if I wanted to hire someone else to rent my unit out for me. As the previous poster indicate, these companies would do all the work for one lifetime fee. I asked if this was a guarantee and they said they can't put that in writing since that's up to me when I want to release my weeks to rented to the other company, which has nothing to do with them. AIMS happens to be at the top of the list. Based on what others have said on this thread (that noone would do this because there's no profit for them), should I assume that all the other companies on the list are also scam? Here is the list of the companies:
AIMS - Alliance Integrated Marketing Systems
Continental Connections
Resort Rentals
Imperial Property Management
Destinations International
RnR Listing Network

The follow up question is should I just try to rent this out on my own. And if so, how hard is it to do? This is the first time I've done something like this.

Also, the appealing part of this sale was that I could rent out the 2 weeks I bought without worrying about losing the opportunity for the income while still getting to benefit from being a vacation owner because they were giving me 60 "breakaway weeks" through HSI (Holiday Systems International) to use over the next 30 years. I only pay when I use and no maintenance fee if I don't. Is this a scam as well? I just googled them and there were some complaints about people trading and/or selling timeshares. But this is not what I'd be doing with them. The BBB rates them as an "A" company so I'm hoping it's not as bad as it sounds. Does anyone have experience with using HSI just for the breakaway weeks?

After all this scamming, I'm starting to regret that I bought this at all because the whole thing sounds very stressful. Does any one know if there's anything I can do now that it's after the 5 days to cancel the contract? Hope to get some responses. Any guidance on here would be greatly appreciated.[/QUOTE]

The phone numbers given are unlisted in Dallas Texas and Adam Przyborowski works out of Puerto Vallarta. He claimed he had a buyer for our remaining two-weeks in a Ex. suite at the EL CID for $9,000.00 and he had already received his commission and needed the up-front $699.00 fees to start a title search - he would not return my calls after I told him to make it happen and I would pay him an extra commission and he could take the $699 title search fees at the final closing - he asked how he could trust my promise to pay him the extra commission - I told him the same way I could trust him in selling my two-weeks timeshare.... Now my email are undeliverable....????

They are all the same - they want up-front membership fees to rent or sell your timeshare and your out that money.... All the crooks are not in jail....

Looking in the mirror

It's sure a lesson to me, reading these posts and seeing myself in so many of them.
We bought a Real Club membership in Playa del Carmen, MX based on the same AIM promises. Refused to pay up front fees. It's just too stupid. We have a website of our own, and all this talk of "marketing costs" feels too much like baloney.
PRINCIPLE: paying for anything up front is the surest way to guarantee a shoddy job.

problems

I recently bought a timeshare through Grupo Mayan, and was told I could resell my red week through Alliance Integrated Marketing Systems (their website is "analliancethatworks.com"). They claim they have an enclusive agreeement with Grupo Mayan to resell timeshares through the Wyndam conglomerate. Anyone had any experience with Alliance Integrated Marketing Systems?

Thanks, Ron:wave:

we have had major problems with them-so far no service as promised and grupo mayan are not returning calls-what rights do we have?

How did you get out-did you get all money back?
we keep upgrading for better service and it never happens so we have invested over the course of several years-who did you call? Is there a resourse beyond the 800 number?

you could also contact profeco, as they specialize in assisting people who were victims of Mexican timeshare scams.
