Allegient Air

I had an emergency pet issue this weekend and begged my mom to go take care of my pets so I could fire my horrible petsitter. I had no idea she was horrible until we got to our destination - we had used her plenty of times before so I'm not sure what's going on but she's gone insane and was yelling at our dogs and saying they should die. Anyway, like I said earlier Allegiant is the only airline that flys direct. So I booked my mom on Allegiant. Well her flight was 6 hours delayed. It did finally go and everyone was safe etc but it meant my mom stayed up all night and barely got any rest :(

I'm curious as to how you know this? Do you have a pet-monitor?

Video cameras in our home. We normally don't watch but she said one of our dogs did something bad and so we watched to see if we could see it and how bad it was... well we saw her yelling at all our dogs and saying just horrible things. Then she did it again at every visit after. She's mad that one of the dogs is afraid of her and won't come out from under the sofa - and she just gets angrier and angrier and the dog gets more and more scared. Clearly not a good fit for that profession - she needs to find other ways to earn money.
 
My daughter flew Allegient from Sanford to Allentown, PA non-stop the day before Thanksgiving last year because the airfare was about $200 less than everyone else (we looked at flights into Philly, Trenton, Newark, Atlantic City). She was meeting us for Thanksgiving at an RCI resort in the Poconos.

After we booked, we started reading horror stories and was nervous that the flight would get cancelled. The flight ended up on time and there were no issues. I'd fly them again.

As far as seating with your children, about 24 hours before the flight you can check-in and should be able to automatically be assigned 2 seats together. Unless it is an oversold flight, fully booked, then I would go ahead and purchase the seats now.

Wow. That is terrible. Something like that is extra stressful when it is during your vacation. Sorry that happened.

Bad sitter! This is why we bribe our relates into covering home-needs.
Usually, it costs us some frozen pizza's or a dozen homemade cookies.

You're lucky if you have relatives close enough to be able to do this for you. Many don't.
