All-Inclusive Resorts using Hyatt Vac Club Points?

The other day, I received a call from a Hyatt Vacation Club rep telling me Hyatt Vacation Club added 60 all-inclusive resorts to their portfolio and I could trade into them directly using my existing vacation club points with no additional fees. They then tried to get me to sign up for a virtual (Microsoft Teams) owners update for further details.

Has anyone heard about this? It sounds like the Dreams, Secrets, Breathless resorts that World of Hyatt added a few years ago. When I inquired with the rep if this new "benefit" had to do with World of Hyatt points she said, "it had nothing to do with World of Hyatt points, it is with the vacation club". Has anyone else heard about this new benefit or is this a scam to get folks to sit through an owner's update? Thoughts?

It's not a scam (nor a benefit of your existing vacation club) but it is a separate vacation ownership club from Hyatt Vacation club. We did sign-up/ buy into the Unlimited Vacations Club which includes all of those all-inclusive resorts that you mentioned along with several others (Zoetry, Impressions, Zilara, Ziva, etc.). I'm not sure how they are integrating it with Hyatt Vacation Club points as we are not members of that system. We do earn World of Hyatt points for stays at these all-inclusive resorts.

I can tell you that the resorts that we have been to are excellent and the level of service, quality of food and amenities are very good. We were looking for a different kind of vacation experience from the Timeshare resorts that we have used for many years and have access through with our Marriott Vacation Club and Interval.

I'm sure they are trying to get prospective buyers like yourself, to sign up for presentations to get the pitch to buy-in to this separate vacation club experience. If the incentive to worth it and you're interested in vacationing at all-inclusive resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean, you should at least listen to the pitch for this club.

This program is posted, as an option, in the Owners Lounge. Be careful spending your points this way. IMO, the value is not quite poor.
