Stowe / Jeffersonville didn't lose anything as far as I know, Smugglers notch is still open. Bently Brook is over in the Berkshires, completely different area, and I think in MA, not VT.
Yes sorry, Confursed Bently Brook and Smugglers. I don't do either LOL

I wonder how much of an impact it will have on the East Stroudsburg area. I'm sure a number of the local businesses depended on summer timeshare activity for a good part of their business.

When we first got our unit at Shawnee there was at least some kind of marketing deal, if not an actual ownership tie-up, between the timeshare and the ski area. We never went up there in the winter so I can't comment on how its been the last few years, although in summer it has been much less busy. However I can tell you that they took the hot tub out of our unit a few years ago, replacing it with a regular bathtub/shower, and the fireplace has been inoperable for some years. I think those were especially attractive to winter guests.

There has never been an ownership tie-in of any kind between the Shawnee Ski mountain and Wyndham. The ski mountain was originally developed and owned by Charlie Hope in the 1970s (same as the Shawnee resort currently owned by Wyndham) and then subsequently sold to the Kirkwood family in 1979, via SDI (Shawnee Development Inc.) along with what is now the Wyndham resort. Wyndham bought the resort from SDI (owned by the Kirkwood family) in 2005. In 1996, SDI sold the ski mountain to Nick Fredericks, who still owns Ski Shawnee, Inc. to this day - that’s why there are signs at the Ski mountain that clearly state it’s family owned and independently operated. That said, I’m sure there were marketing agreements throughout the years and discounts made available for the Wyndham timeshare resort.
