Airlines announce new coronavirus policies to adhere to social distancing

Thanks Richard, I will share this information.

United had three to a row near us Saturday. The people did not know each other and complained. They got up and moved to a row with only one assigned seat

Now the quesrion is: will the airlines actually follow them any better than the previous guidelines on the matter?

Completed flights yesterday. BIS to DFW, then DFW to SAN. With American Airlines. First flight was on a regional jet with 2 x 2 seating. Flew with wife and we were side by side. Flight was 85% full and most people were seated next to someone. Every body kept mask on We were notified 72 hours before departure that flights were filling up and given choice to rebook. Problem was that all upcoming flights were at 70% already and likely to go up
DFW to SAN was at 90%. Every body wore masks and did the best they could to avoid contact
People are flying again. TSA stats show more people passing through security every day.
Maybe some airlines are differentiated by attempting to keep load factors down. By all account United and American are going for volume and lower prices.
I would fly again if I need to. Would not fly for pleasure yet. Discovered that 4 hours of mask wearing at a stretch is not all that comfortable.

Are you allowed to keep your mask on while going through TSA agent when they check your photo id with your face?

I was. No idea if it was because I have PreCheck or just standard procedure now since very few in line.

Flew CVG-MDW then MDW-MCO on Southwest Wednesday. Both planes less than 30% full, all pax and Cabin Crew wearing masks.

Cheers
