I think it is time to write Air Canada off as an airline. The only exception may be flying in Canada to places where Westjet or Porter do not fly. Even then walking may be more reliable.

Customer service has been bad for a while now but every few months there are rumours of work stoppages. Legal and illegal.

Hopefully the Canadian government will open up domestic travel to foreign carriers.

We flew AC a couple of times a few years ago due to FF miles from USAir. Customer service was non-existent. Our flight was cancelled and the only way we knew it was that I happened to look up at the board. There was no one at the gate to give any direction or help. That's just for starters. We went through Montreal on one trip and Toronto on the other.....same lack of customer service. Never again!

Their ff program has also turned to crap, and they even make it hard to earn miles on *A partners.

Another illegal strike today.

Hopefully West Jet keeps expanding.
