Advice Needed: How to Sell a Wyndham Timeshare

Hi. Its been a while since I've visited tugsbbs but this site has always been a wealth of information for which I am grateful. I originally purchased a timeshare directly from Wyndham but stumbled upon this site and learned how to rescind my contract and ended up buying a resale timeshare at a reduced cost through one of the broker's recommended here. That was a decade ago. We enjoyed our timeshare over the years but I think our travel needs have changed so we would like to sell our timeshare. I wanted to get advice on the safest way to do so. I tried to read through old threads and the help and advice tab but I wasn't able to locate any recent posts.

These are the methods I saw:

1) Sell direct to a private buyer and use LT Transfers to handle the paperwork

2) Use a reputable resale broker recommended here

3) Contact Wyndham Cares and use one of their recommended resellers :cautious:

We used Shelley Preece (Transaction Realty) to purchase our timeshare but it looks like she mainly deals with Marriot now. Is the list of recommended brokers still up to date? I want to make sure any sale and deed transfer is done correctly and don't trust myself to do it on my own.

Also, what is the best way to find out what my timeshare is worth? Our home resort is Wyndham Waikiki Beachwalk in Oahu, HI.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Good job saving money buying resale! Whenever I’ve sold my timeshares I list it on my own in Redweek and use LT Transfers to help with all the paperwork. You can also list it in the Tug Marketplace when you are a member. There is more traffic on Redweek though. To see what it is worth check the ads or sold items on EBay to get an accurate price. It depends on how many points you own as well.

Good luck!
