Adding points to a Wyndham Points account

I am in the process of closing on a UDI 252K annual Wyndham Club Plus account it has an October Anniversary. This will be my first Wyndham Club Plus account. Later if a buy another resale account with a different anniversary date, does its anniversary date automatically adjust to match my current accounts anniversary?

Example: I have an October account, then close in Dec on a January account. Will I miss getting points in January because they change my anniversary on my second account to match the first account with an October anniversary date?

It's hit or miss. They will generally, eventually, get around to "aligning" the use years. At least that's the general guideline. But when it happens is an uncertainty.

You won't miss getting points. If your use years are re-aligned, you can talk to Owner Care about getting an adjustment if they move your date back. If they move it forward... consider it a Christmas present. But it's not anything to worry about.

October use years are the least common. Even though it's your first contract in the account, my guess would be if you get another contract and it's a January use year, they would be more likely to align you to January. I had been told some time ago that they were no longer selling non-January use years, but I heard someone recently got a non-January use year from the developer, so that report may have been mistaken. My guess is eventually everyone will have all contracts aligned to a January use year.
