How are we able to add/change a guest name after a reservation has started when the call centers are closed.

Here is a policy:

A Guest Confirmation is required for any unit that you, the owner of record, will not be personally occupying. If your guest arrives without a Guest Confirmation, a Guest Confirmation fee will be collected prior to having access to the unit.

But the resorts have no way to take payment for a guest confirmation fee or change a name on reservations.

Company as big as Wyndham should have procedures in place for these things. Especially when the biggest travel days are around holidays when the call center is closed.

Right below your "current reservations" list on the website, there is a check box marked "ADD/CHANGE Guest". But I am assuming that you have/use computers. My bride is a phone caller herself.

Merry Christmas

That works before the reservation starts but not after.

I agree! There should be a way for a resort to take care of this, if necessary. I had one time where Bentley Brook took care of a GC for me, but I had one in my account and they didn't have to collect any money for it.

The verbiage you quoted implies a resort would be able to collect the fee, if necessary, but experience has been they are not able to do so.

Equally as frustrating is if you book a reservation for the current day, after the call center is closed, you can't check in. I have never had to do this, but thought I might and was told if I didn't book in time for the call center to send the information to the resort, I would not be able to check in (or have a guest check-in).

I've had to add a guest certificate after the check in date once. I had to call the main wyndham line and the VC had to call the resort to verify no one had checked in on the reservation before they put the name on the room. I don't think there is anyway to do this online. Also the front desk at the resort can do it. I had someone show up at a resort and didn't have their license or Marriage certificate. The resort changed the name for them and took the $129 fee. If they say they can't they either don't know or are just being lazy.

The resort can look the reservation/guest certificate up in the main frame. I have them do it all the time when I add guest certificates the day of check in. They update it manually in their system and you/the guest can check in. Usually takes about 5 to 10 min.

As a side note, it is still possible to add the guest certificate online the day of check in, saves the $30 from having to call in.
