Add Interval reservation to Bonvoy App

I am trying to add my exchange bookings from Interval to my Bonvoy app, I can find it when I search "Find missing reservation" but when I chose "add to profile" it comes up an error, anyone know a way around this?

If it's for a Vistana II Reservation, you have to call in (or you had to in the past). I haven't tried to add an II Marriott reservation via the app, but I have successfully done it on the website. I couldn't get the Vistana II reservation added on the website so I called Marriott and they added it IIRC. Another option is to call the resort and have them add it to your reservation.
 
Some confirmations are setup in such a way that you simply can't add the Bonvoy number online. I have tried doing some on the website and editing the reservation to add my number and it works, others don't. Not sure what the difference really is.

Yes on the website I am trying to add my Bonvoy number and it doesn't save it.

I have an AC reservation coming up on Friday. I just called the resort and they added my bonvoy number to the reservation. I now see it in my app.

Try signing into your Bonvoy account.
When you search using the resie number and then see your name, the field is already populated with your number. Hit the save button and it will usually save everything

We have had the same issue. I just add the Bonvoy number at checkin now. I don't fool with trying to get it added ahead of time.

Frustrating....but as long as they add it at check in....
 
Just called the resort, who said its too soon for them to see it, transferred me to the rewards part who said that they can't as its booked through Interval they are locked out of the reservation, so I guess its not possible!!

It’s possible. I hit titanium elite this year but stringing together AC’s and staying at Marriott for weeks.

Probably on check in or closer to check in but they all telling me not possible at moment!

The properties usually don't have access to the reservation until a few weeks prior to checkin.

As @CPNY stated it possible; do like @dioxide45 (and others) and add it at checkin.
 
I recently had a interval getaway that I added to my Bonvoy app disappear, and the app wouldn’t let me add it again, at times saying that it was in my record already. But I kept trying multiple times for about a week, and finally on a day when I meant to try again, I found that it showed up... all this to say, “Don’t give up!”
 
We checked in to MGV last Friday. I forgot to give them my Bonvoy number at checkin. I went yesterday to the front desk and they added it, it showed up in my Marriott.com account right away.
 
Today I was successful modifying the guest information for a reservation on Marriott.com and adding my wife's Bonvoy number to the reservation. It now shows up online. This was an II reservation and I noticed that the phone number associated with it was the one from II and didn't match the one in her Bonvoy profile. I updated that at the same time and it stuck. The reservation now shows up under her trips on Marriott.com. Not sure if it was the phone number that made the difference or just how this reservation is 'setup' that made it possible. Now to try it on a bunch of others.

Edited to add: I just did it on another and didn't change the phone number to match and it worked. So based on past experience with other reservations, it seems there are some reservations that simply won't let you edit the guest information online.

Do you know how far in advance you can add it via the resort?
 
I have had good luck when we do it 2-3 weeks ahead of the stay. Many times there is a place to add it on the pre-arrival email form with room requests.

Dioxide, do you know if the weeks that it worked on were developer deposits?

One week was an owner deposit and the other looks to be a trust deposit.
