I deposited one of my weeks at the Aruba Ocean Club with Interval. Actually, I locked the units off and I have already traded one of the units for a week at the Marriott Grande Ocean. Sometimes this year, I am going to trade the studio unit for another week at the Marriott Grande Ocean. I received the AC certificate from Interval. I know I can't use it at my home resort in Aruba. But, can I use it at the Marriott Grande Ocean which is my home resort in Hilton Head? Since the maintenance fees at the Aruba Ocean Club are so exorbitant , I am trying to work the system to get as many weeks of vacation as possible.

You can only use your AC at the locations and times noted on your grid. II usually will email it to you as a pdf attachment. You can also log in to your II account and see it. Do do a long term search for all locations and an extra page will pop up showing a grid with locations and months.

The AC's are best used during Flexchange.

What Terry didn't say is that the grid disappears when you are limiting your search with the AC to the next 59 days or less ("Flexchange"). If you include the 60th or any future days in your search, you'll still see the grid. The advantage of Flexchange and no grid is that almost all timeshare weeks in II's system, including those at GO, if any, will show up for you to confirm.

I would expect that you could use it at the Grande Ocean since that was not the resort that triggered the AC. However, if booking outside the flex change window, you will likely be remanded to winter months at the Grande Ocean.

I called today to see if II had AC's this year for one of my July 4th weeks at Manor Club and they don't ... so they didn't get it. That's the first time since I bought MMC many moons ago that AC's weren't available for platinum weeks, and especially the primest week of all there. I asked the rep if they had any 2 bdrm availabilities for the late June early July period and they didn't - actually said he thought a lot of people decided to 'use' their weeks this year, so that can't be good for II's business. Must have something to do with a squabble between Marriott and Interval.

I deposited today and got AC's with both Summit Watch 4th of July week one bedroom and Shadow Ridge one bedroom Easter week. Soooooo got 6 weeks from my 2 deposits. I locked off each.

I love timesharing!!

Thanks for all the information. Today, I checked and I can trade into the Grande Ocean during January, February, or the first week of March. I think I am going to grab the first week in March. My husband and I are tennis players. So, I think it will work out great for us.
