Not sure if that was actually an easy "trade" - but we live nearby and thought that was a good use of the AC. We are traveling enough this summer and don't like to go away at Christmas. Being a teacher, no more time. But I do get 4 days on that weekend - and my daughter is a competitive cheerleader and has a meet in Atlantic City that weekend. I figure I'll let the kids bring friends and just hang out.

I do think it's a fairly easy trade at that time of year. February in snowy New Jersey and no ski hill in sight:) From what I've heard, all of NJ is in Florida that week because they get the whole week off.

Nevertheless, I think you will have a fine time. I do anytime I stay in a Marriott 2 BR.

Have Fun!

Absolutely true - no skiing or much to do. BUT - I thought Presidents' weekend, with 4 days off - would be fun. Now the kids have decided to each bring a friend - since it's a short drive, that'll be easy. We'll just goof around and play in the pool and be away from the house. Yes, Florida is perfect in February, but I'm not spending the money this year - saving it for Hawaii. Maybe I'll get a massage at the spa! I won't use all of the nights - I'll give it away to a Tugger who wants it.

Sometimes low key vacations like that turn out to be the best. Less running around because you "have" to get in all the sights. Just nice quality time with the family, and being away forces you to do family things. Nice too that the kids can bring along a friend.

Have fun!

We own there and you're right - not a whole lot to do if you don't like the casino scene. But a day trip to Cape May will be a nice outing and there are some fine restaurants in the area. We never go for a week but for 3-4 days we've enjoyed it. And for a drivable AC, it's a great deal for you.

BTW - they are pushing very hard to get sales going and offering some big incentives so I'm sure they would love a sit-down with you!

You'll have a blast. The kids being able to bring a friend to a nice resort will be totally fun itself.

Have a great time!!!!!!

I actually put in a request on a Sat and got my request filled on the very next day, and it is during their high season! We got July 24-31. My family goes to Sea Isle City NJ every year, and we decided to try to stay at MFV and drive down to Sea Isle every day. Should be about a half hour drive, but will give us some time away from the extended family that all have way too many opinions. :)
